Biographie
Bernard Sabrier is the Chairman of Unigestion Holding SA and UWealth. After the closing early 2026 of the Sagard – Unigestion, Bernard Sabrier will join the Sagard Holdings board as Vice-Chairman and will chair the Sagard’s Private Equity platform. A seasoned entrepreneur and philanthropist, Mr Sabrier began his career at Paribas in 1972 before acquiring Unigestion, a Geneva-based investment firm, in 1976. Under his leadership, Unigestion evolved from a local boutique into a global independent asset manager specialising in private equity, liquid markets, and wealth management. Driven by a strong sense of purpose, he established Children Action in 1994 (childrenaction.org), a Swiss foundation that has positively transformed the lives of more than 250 000 children worldwide through medical, educational, and psychological support programmes. In 1996, he co-founded MAMCO (mamco.org), Geneva’s museum of contemporary art, and in 2011 he transferred his controlling interest in Unigestion into FAMSA, a Swiss charitable-purpose foundation. Today, FAMSA supports major humanitarian, educational, cultural, and medical initiatives and will become the largest private investor of Sagard Holdings. Over the past decades, Mr Sabrier has served on the boards of several leading European companies and remains actively engaged in initiatives that bridge finance, philanthropy, and science. He sits on the Advisory Board of the Marshall Institute for Philanthropy and Social Entrepreneurship and the Marshall Impact Accelerator Fund at the London School of Economics, and is a member of the Global Commission on Science Missions in the fields of food, energy, and climate.
